Nicki Minaj Grants Wish For Five-Year-Old...
Washington Wizards’ All-Star Point Guard John Wall used social media to campaign for five-year-old Miyah, who was diagnosed with cancer in October 2013 to meet her idol, Nicki Minaj, and score one of her signature pink wigs. Wall accomplished this by posting an Instagram video of himself and Miyah to get Nicki Minaj's attention and wrote: “Fans I need your help to get my buddy Miyah’s wish granted. She’s a 5 year old battling cancer and her wish is to meet @NickiMinaj and get one of her pink wigs! I need your help, comment on this photo. Let’s get Miyah’s one of Nicki’s pink wigs!”
Fortunately, it didn't take long for Nicki to respond. "Hi Miyah!!!! Let's see what we can come up with for a pretty little princess. ;)" she tweeted, acknowledging that she'd seen the clip.
Yesterday (Sunday), Nicki met with Miyah bringing along the requested pink wig, as well as taking some photos with the young fan. In return, Miyah gave Nicki a bracelet. "She gave me the colorful bracelet I'm wearing. I rlly love it!" she captioned the photo. Nicki also posted an Instagram video sharing a moment with Miyah."I'm so happy that you got your pink wig. I think you're beautiful without the pink wig but whenever you wanna play dress up and feel like a little Barbie doll that's fine," Nicki told her. "But remember, you promised me that you were gonna stay in school."
Kudos to Nicki and James for their efforts in supporting their fans and using their star power for good.
