ABC News recently caught up with Nicki Minaj to talk about her "Anaconda" music video and more.
“I wanted to reinstate something,” Minaj told ABC News. “Because of the shift in pop culture, even hip-hop men are really glorifying the less curvy body.
“I wanted to say, ‘Hey ladies, you’re beautiful,’” Minaj said. “Hopefully, this changes things and maybe it won’t change things, but I love it.”

It’s official! Following the release of Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" music video, VEVO has confirmed that the Queen of Rap has broken the 24-hour VEVO record by securing 19.6 million streams in one day.
The feat was last accomplished by Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" visual, which garnered 19.3 million streams in its first 24 hours last September (2013).
Tune in on Sunday, August 24, when she performs the song for the first time at the MTV Video Music Awards at 9 p.m. ET.
