As soon as the announcement was over, Nicki called Carol, her mother. A few seconds later her mother picked up. "Hello" said Carol. "Hi Mama" said Nicki. "Ah. Onika. Sweetheart. How are you". "I'm doing fantabulous Mom. "I have to tell you something". "Ok" said Carol. "I called to tell you that...... I'm engaged to Aubrey". "Oh sweetheart, congratulation!" said Carol. From the background SB shouted "We gotta go Nika". "Ok, hold on" Nicki responded. "Mama, I have to go. I will fly in to see you soon". "Ok, sweetheart" said her mother. "Bye, Love you" said Nicki. "Bye" her mother said. Nicki hung up and left the studio with Drake and SB. For the next few days she had concerts 24/7. She had a 9 day break. In that period, she planned to go to New York and visit her parents and little brother. She told Drake and SB her plan to go to NY. They both agreed to come. Nicki bought the tickets that night. They left in 2 days. Nicki had finished up all her concerts in Japan. Now she was just packing. She kept thinking to herself "What if they think he's to young for me" or "I will mess up my life marrying him". Nicki had these questions on her mind for the next few hours. She could not get them out of her head. That night she did not sleep well. She was worried her parents would not give Drake their blessings. All she could do was pray everything would go smoothly. The next morning everyone woke up early and got ready to go to the airport. Nicki prayed during most of the flight that everything would go well. When she stepped out of the airport and into the summer air, she felt sick. She did not want to worry anyone so she did not say anything. When she got in her rental SB started driving. "You ok honey?" said Drake. "Yeah" Nicki lied. It was silent the rest of the car ride. When they got to her parents house, SB waited in the car. Nicki and Drake got out. They walked up the porch and rang the doorbell.
