Can one of my Barbz or Kenz explain to me who Nicki was talking about when we said her mother was killed in this song.

its a metaphor cause in a way when her dad did burn down the house in a way it kinda killed her mother casue u know surviving where she grew up was hard especially since it was the crack era, and also that fact that her own father tried to kill her mother left her wit nightmares which of course its natural. So all she is tryin to say is how she loves her mother and how she is very strong and even though times were tough her mother always believed nicki would become something even though sometimes she doubts herself. but we all know she is the best!!!

To be honest i'm not 100% sure and i don't think anyone is but i'm pretty sure her dad did burn the house down but her mom made it out. I think i remember her saying that but i don't think she talks about it much.
